GET TO KNOW ME

Hi there! My name is Bailey Kent. Originally from Boston, MA, with some time spent in coastal Maine, I now have the joy of living in Denver, CO after attending the University of Denver for the past four years.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always gravitated towards music. Growing up, my dad filled car rides with beautiful songs from a variety of artists/bands. He introduced me to stuff he listened to as a kid, The Police, Van Halen, and The Talking Heads. I quickly grew curious to the abundance of unique sounds that were so new and fresh to my ears. The language of the music was refreshing and inspiring. Since then, I’ve found myself trying to create music that tells stories. This is what inspires me the most, sharing moments over the years that have transformed me to think, feel, act differently about myself in the world. In one way or another, I hope people may be able to relate to or find peace in my lyrics when they listen.

Throughout various music projects, I've tried to do just that. Bring peace, energy, light, and love through storytelling in my music that can be listened to on any and all streaming platforms!

April - July 2021

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETER INTERN, ROCK N DOZE

I conducted social media day-to-day operations by interacting and engaging with Rock N Doze community. Conducted music research to best assist with music clients using Rock N Doze lodging services. Conducted data management, website design, and spent time creating content, graphics, posts for social media platforms. Also conducted occasional on-site marketing, photographing and engaging with clients.

Feb - March 2021

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETER, VNYL CONFESSIONS

Vnyl Confessions is an online record store that offers vinyl records including live albums, new releases, and a great listening experience for music lovers. With Vnyl Confessions, I created content for social media platforms, designed ad campaigns, managed inventory, and updated content for website. Also conducted music research to stay up to date with trends, music industry, and listening experiences for customers.

December - January 2022

SINGER/PERFOMER, RIVERSHED

Played acoustic sets at the restaurant/bar the Rivershed in Scituate, Ma. Performed a solo gig that consisted of covers, original music, and requests from the public/individuals eating at the establishment. Provided positive, entertaining, and energetic ambience.
